Over Radix's short history we have had some of the most amazing speakers that the sport has to offer. We've had everyone from Olympians to the Greatest High School Coach of all time come and talk to our campers. Everyone has their own story and year after year we find people that help educate, inspire, and lead the next generation of great runners!
Robby Andrews and Big Bob
Robby Andrews, Olympian, World Finalist, NCAA Champion, HS Record Holder, NJ MOC Winner, son of Big Bob. The list could go on and on but you get the picture. Robby has come to camp to talk to Radix campers every year. As his story evolves so does his message. Every year, one of the best parts of Robby's talk is when he brings his training logs and shares everything that has made him the athlete is today.
Dani Aragon is a member of the Empire Elite Track Club. She competed for Notre Dame in college where she was a 4x All- American. She has PRs of 4:05 for the 1500 and 2:00.83 for the 800. Dani gave her first talk at camp in 2018 and we hope she comes back for many years to come. The story of her rise through the sport is amazing for athletes of all ages!
Travis Mahoney is a Jersey native and member of the NJNY Track Club. Travis competed for Old Bridge Highschool and then went on to become an All-American at Temple University. As a pro, he has run the insanely fast times of 8:25 in the steeplechase along with 7:47 in the 3k and 3:58 for the mile! We have heard Travis give countless talks and the more time he spends in the sport the more his audience gets out of his conversation with them.
Coach Tom Heath
Coach Tom Heath coached at Christian Brothers Academy for over 40 years. Over his tenure as coach, he coached the 2011 National Championship XC team, 5 top five teams in the country, 3 Penn Relays DMR winners, over 30 track all-Americans, the national record in dual meet wins, and 23 MOC. Coach Heath is a hurricane of force during his talks. There is no one that can motive and build team culture quite like Coach Heath and it is an honor to hear him speak at camp.
